Pistol Permit Courses, Defensive Courses, and Home Defense Consultations coached by a US Marine Veteran Marksmanship Instructor with experience coaching marksmanship to US Marines and the Iraqi Army.

CT PISTOL PERMIT COURSE
This is the first step towards obtaining your CT Pistol Permit to legally own a handgun, rifle, or ammunition in CT. We integrate effective and fun learning techniques to help you build confidence in your ability to safely and effectively use a firearm. You will leave this course with a Rock Solid Foundation constructed of safety and efficiency and will be awarded an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate.
DEFENSIVE PISTOL COURSE
Designed for those who have their Pistol Permit but want to become safer and more effective to meet their defensive goals. We cover mastering the basics and learning new defensive techniques and concepts. We integrate live fire with your own pistol (or ours) and repetitions with our state of the art Recoiling Laser Pistol Simulator. After taking this course you will be a safer more efficient shooter.
HOME DEFENSE CONSULTATIONS
We assess your specific defensive situation, provide solutions to your concerns, and help you achieve a safe, real world and attainable strategy to safely defend your home. We perform exercises to coach you how to protect your family in a practical, proven, and repeatable way using real world scenarios. We bring our Mobile Pistol Simulator to you and coach in numerous defensive situations including using darkness and light to your advantage, defending hallways, and much much more. After a consultation you can sleep better at night knowing you have an effective plan to keep your family safe.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
This is a 1 on 1 Private Custom Session to help you achieve your personal defensive, shooting, or safety goals. We work with you to achieve whatever goals you want to achieve. You can bring your own firearm (or use ours). After a session you will be more confident, efficient, and safe with any aspect of defense you are concerned about.

Meet Coach Rock
Tim served as a Rifleman in the US Marines from 2002 to 2006 with 1st Bn, 6th Marines. He was deployed to South Central Afghanistan in 2004 and Fallujah Iraq in 2005. During his Iraq deployment the core of the mission was training the Iraqi Army to be self sufficient by coaching marksmanship, patrolling, standing post, and other defensive skills.
He became a rifle and pistol Marksmanship Instructor and coached Marines on the rifle range. He was then “fapped out” to perform Military Police duties before receiving an honorable discharge.
He is now a NRA Certified Instructor and has a new mission: to help people keep their families safe by developing the safety and efficiency gained from participating in the Rock Solid Defensive System.
Coach Rock specializes in taking complex and sometimes boring concepts and explaining them in an easy to understand and fun way. Not only will you learn a lot with these services but you will have a great time!
